It is said that home is where the heart is, and as soon as I drove onto the property, I knew this to be true. The Inn has a special charm of its own that comes from the heart of its host, Robbie. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and relaxed from the moment I walked in. The room was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the living area welcoming. My visit was short-- just for 2 nights in Oct of 2014. In the end I was desperately dreaming of ways to stay. I hated to leave this wonderful inn and the kind soul of Robbie, my host. The area is absolutely beautiful and there are plenty of places to explore and to visit. I can't wait to return to a home I have found away from home. Thank you, Robbie!

My wife and I loved The White House the minute we walked in! The antique pieces, large comfortable bed, wireless internet, peaceful country , and so much more, it reminded us of being home but with a much shorter drive to the beach! My intent was to scout for a place to purchase as a vacation get away. Now that we've found Robby and The White House, we no longer plan to purchase. With these accommodations at such reasonable rates, why would I even consider the headache of owning? Thanks Robby!

My sisters and my brother all met at the White House to see each other again and stay in one house for the weekend. It was truly a wonderful visit in a very comfortable setting. Our host, Robby, made sure we had everything we could think of to make our stay perfect. We prepared our meals together to eat in the dining room and gathered in the living room to sing songs in front of the fireplace. It was definitely the perfect place for us!

I was there at Camp Lejeune on a contract for the US Government and I was staying at the White House for almost 2months. It was by far the best place I've stayed in years. It was very warm, up kept, and peaceful. It was a place I called home away from home. Robbie and his folks was very friendly and helpful and made me welcomed to be there, I'm up in Quantico now and I miss it there...lol, Thank you all for everything, I truly enjoyed staying there, had great tenants, and great southern hospitality. Will not hesitate in a minute to go back there...take care them cats for me!

My sister-in-law, daughter-in-law and I stayed at the White House Sept. 23-26 and loved everything about our stay. We felt like we were staying with family. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves along with the use of the lovely kitchen and living room downstairs. It was so inviting and peaceful and we will definitely stay there again as soon as we can get back to NC. Love the front porch. Thank you Robbie for everything. You are the best host ever! I'll send you pics.

We stayed at the White House Sep. 7 - 10, 2013 while attending our son's graduation at Camp Geiger. Robbie was extremely accommodating, pleasant and welcoming. We traveled with our two teenage children. Robert had the kids on the second floor and gave us the suite on the main floor which also included a private seating area and huge porch. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and relaxing with lots of space and comfort. Robbie is an excellent host and was always very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and worry-free. It truly felt more like staying with friends or relatives. Would definitely stay there again!

I wish I never had to stay at another hotel again!! The White House was like being at home on vacation (but better!). We are young married couple in our 30s, We stayed in the main house in the suite for our 8th anniversary. It was right off the beautiful kitchen, it had its own huge front porch with private access. It was amazingly private, beautiful and comfortable. Plenty of parking with easy access to the house. The White House was so close to everything!! We loved staying there!!

I needed a break from every day life and found The White House online. I took a shot and booked the Zen suite. OMG true Zen. My mind was cleared and the peace and old world charm and friendliness of the people staying and working there was just what the Dr. ordered. I went to the beach every day and came back to a space of country and natural beauty. Anyone coming into the area must experience this awesome spot on the planet. Thank you Robby. I will be back.

I got to visit my son and his sweet family in February since he was being deployed soon also to celebrate my granddaughters first birthday (my sweet little Amelia). I had to come up alone so my husband was concerned about my safety. I wasn't satisfied with what I found in motels in the area so I called the chamber and they gave me Robbie's number. I only needed a small place since I was alone and Robbie made sure i was in the house so I felt safe when coming in late at night. Everything was so much better than I ever expected: nice furnishings, clean and cozy. He also put fresh flowers in my room.

Maybe the next time I get to stay with them it will be warmer weather so I can enjoy sitting outside.

Planning a visit to Jacksonville NC this is the only good option

I arrived in NC after a 24 hour drive from Houston, Texas. After visiting three dreadful hotels in Jacksonville, I start googling other options. God somehow came through and I found Robbie and The White House. I'm here for at least two months and I feel so at home. Robbie is not just an amazing host, but also a friend. He has gone out of his way to be hospitable, even suggesting cool places for my husband and I to visit in the area. It's also SO safe. I have fallen in love with the goats, and the property. If you're planning a visit to Jacksonville or the surrounding areas, The White House is the only good option! Thank you, Robbie!
