I stayed at the White House recently with my boyfriend, who just got back from a deployment. We were there for 7 days and enjoyed every minute of it. We had never been there before so we weren't sure what to expect, but after meeting Robert we knew that it was going to be great. The kitchen was wonderful because we were able to do all our cooking there. There was also a washer and dryer to do laundry. It is a very quiet and serene place and all the guests were very polite. We would definitely go back and stay at the White House again. I would highly recommend it!

I had driven past The White House on several occasions, and always thought it looked ideal for when guests would come to visit me. I don't have room in my home for extra beds. So this place was on my short list, but I had not stopped in yet... and then I randomly met the owners along the beach at Emerald Isle. They were making photos of beach scenes, and they got some shots of me cruising on my skimboard.

I gotta' say that these folks are among the very nicest people on the planet. You can bet that when my house has some overflow, The White House will be my first choice to take them in.

All of the phone numbers that are posted at this site and on the Google searches are disconnected. Are you still in business? I will try your email address, too.

Norman & Robert,

I can't tell you how very grateful I am for both of you and The White House! For my first time away from home, I was afraid that I would have a horrible experience no matter where I went because I would be homesick.

It was impossible for me to be sad at The White House though. I felt so relaxed and at home that is was a joy to come home at the end of the day. The White House provided a perfect (and safe!) atmosphere that greatly put my mind at ease and helped ease me out into my new life away from my family. You both (along with the cute animals) will always be a part of my life! It is with a lot of sadness that I write this, because unfortunately I'm moving out of this wonderful place that has become my home. But I'll visit as often as you will allow me too. I just can't say good-bye to those goats bitties chickens roosters and bun-buns!

Thank you again for providing a new home and family for me as I take this step into my new life. Again I am incredibly grateful for EVERYTHING! Ally S

I travel to Emerald Isle once a month and really enjoy staying at The White House on Freedom Way. It is my Favorite Place Away from Home!

This gem is close to the Jacksonville area, the beautiful Emerald Isle beaches and my granddaughter. The main building is beautiful and intimate, surrounded by gardens and forest. If you crave peace and relaxation that you can't find in a packed chain hotel, this is the place to stay. Plus a very reasonable rate! The interior decor is inviting, spotless and very calming. We stayed in a recreational vehicle on the grounds and it was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Very quiet and relaxing. You can see why the rooms in the inn were occupied! It is worth a stroll through the grounds and visit with goats, chickens and even bunnies.
You couldn't ask for more genuinely friendly or gracious treatment from the hosts. A special thank you to Robby for obliging my love of coffee! We came home to fresh ground java and all the fixings! Also met some very nice fellow travelers. Can’t wait to come back again. Thanks for a great stay.

I recently stayed at the White House for six weeks while I was attending a formal military school on Camp Lejuene. The whole entire experience of my six week stay was phenomenal. From day one, I was treated with courtesy and respect, the home was immaculate, the house is centrally located for easy commute, and every effort to make your stay a perfect one. I would suggest the Taylor House to anyone interested in staying in the Jacksonville/Camp Lejuene area that doesn’t want the congestion and traffic that comes with staying in a hotel in Jacksonville.

Thank you for a awesome stay and a wonderful experience.

I had my parents stay at the Inn for 10 days while visiting us here in Hubert. I didnt want them to have to drive 20-25min from Jacksonville. The Inn was perfect. It is so warm, cozy with a cute country feel. The Inn sits far back from the road, and has all sorts of farm animals on the property. The rates were GREAT and offered so much more than any regular hotel in the area. My parents really enjoyed their stay there and were very comfortable and plan on staying there for future visits. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the InnKeepers Robert who is an absolute sweetheart! i would recommend anyone to stay at the Inn... Its WONDERFUL!
